Our hardy biennial and perennial collection is not rated with the traditional zone designation but contains over 30 species that have proven they can withstand the rigor of -20 to -50 degrees F winter temperatures, when they have snow cover to protect the crowns or they are afforded mulch cover to provide winter protection. They have been successfully grown in both the coastal and interior regions of Alaska. This collection of "Alaskan favorites" is also popular in gardens across northen Europe and will provide spectacular color to landscapes and the cooler regions across America.
